SOLTRAK was founded in 2021 to address the rapidly growing renewable energy sector, particularly solar PV (photovoltaic) systems. As the sector expands, optimized performance and support for the technology are increasingly challenged by a lack of visibility, transparency, and accountability. Our mission is to provide clear, unambiguous performance monitoring and independent reporting that empower clients to get the most out of their renewable assets.

MISSION

To provide clear and comprehensive insights into the performance of operating renewable energy assets across Africa. This is achieved through detailed performance reports and access to an on-demand platform, all built on a clear, bankable contractual framework.

AFFILIATION

SOLTRAK is affiliated with SOLINK, a specialized renewable energy consulting company. SOLINK facilitates the process for C&I companies, helping them take renewable energy and storage projects from feasibility to commissioning. By managing the risk, time, and expense, SOLINK simplifies the procurement of renewable energy solutions.

TRACK RECORD

SOLTRAK has contracted to report on over 150 active solar PV assets. SOLTRAK's live platform brings pertinent metrics to asset owners from anywhere in the world at the touch of a button.

David Raphael

Co-founder and Managing Director

David is a seasoned renewable energy professional, with experience across the lifecycle of solar PV and energy storage projects. His comprehensive knowledge of renewable energy systems has helped shape the SOLTRAK service into a flagship performance tracking system and his dedication to innovation is at the core of our company's mission.

Oliver Johnston

Director

Oliver has over 10 years of experience in the full development cycle of solar PV projects in Africa, from origination to commercial operations. Oliver has a deep understanding of both utility-scale and embedded solar and battery systems and has successfully developed over 100 MW of embedded solar systems for clients across RSA.

Jonathan Hill

Director

Jonathan, a qualified mechanical engineer, has over 9 years of experience in project management and business development in the engineering field. In the renewable energy sector, Jonathan has gained his experience through combining his passion for engineering and business, fulfilling roles as project manager and technical business developer, and being involved in the management of over 30MW of solar PV projects throughout South Africa.
