SOLTRAK was founded in 2021 on the basis of a rapidly growing renewable energy sector, in particular solar PV (photovoltaic) systems. As the sector expands, optimized performance and support for the technology is threatened by a lack of visibility, transparency, and accountability. Our mission is to provide clear, unambiguous performance monitoring and independent reporting that enables clients to get the most out of their renewable asset.
MISSION
To provide clear and comprehensive insight to the performance of operating renewable energy assets across Africa. This insight is achieved by providing clear performance reports, and access to an on-demand platform, built upon a clear bankable contractual framework.
AFFILIATION
SOLTRAK is affiliated with SOLINK, a specialized renewable energy consulting company. SOLINK is a facilitator that assists C&I companies in taking renewable energy and storage projects from feasibility to commissioning. SOLINK takes the risk, time, and expense out of procuring renewable energy solutions.
TRACK RECORD
SOLTRAK has contracted to report on over 150 active solar PV assets. SOLTRAK's live platform brings pertinent metrics to asset owners from anywhere in the world at the touch of a button.

David Raphael
Co-founder and Managing Director
David is a seasoned renewable energy professional, with experience across the lifecycle of solar PV and energy storage projects. His comprehensive knowledge of renewable energy systems has helped shape the SOLTRAK service into a flagship performance tracking system and his dedication to innovation is at the core of our company's mission.
Oliver Johnston
Director
Oliver has over 10 years of experience in the full development cycle of solar PV projects in Africa, from origination to commercial operations. Oliver has a deep understanding of both utility-scale and embedded solar and battery systems and has successfully developed over 100 MW of embedded solar systems for clients across RSA.
Jonathan Hill
Director
Jonathan, a qualified mechanical engineer, has over 9 years of experience in project management and business development in the engineering field. In the renewable energy sector, Jonathan has gained his experience through combining his passion for engineering and business, fulfilling roles as project manager and technical business developer, and being involved in the management of over 30MW of solar PV projects throughout South Africa.

Argon brings over 5 years of PV industry experience into leading the business development, analytics and product management functions of the team. He strives to empower clients with value-driven platform features and actionable insights into their O&M contract negotiations and PV plant performance.

Head of Systems Development
Tiffany is a systems engineer specializing in machine learning and predictive analytics. She is at the forefront of developing SOLTRAK's innovative software solutions, ensuring our digital platforms are robust, efficient, and user-friendly.

As a Tech Lead, Chiunde draws on over 5 years of experience in retail, fintech, and logistics to lead the software development team in delivering scalable solutions that meet business objectives and user needs. As our Office Administrator, Bukeka works closely with the Office Manager, assisting with a variety of tasks from office management and planning to ensuring the smooth handling of administrative duties. Bukeka also serves as the first point of contact for callers, expertly directing inquiries to the right team members and ensuring each call is handled with care and professionalism. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor help keep our office running smoothly and create a welcoming environment for both staff and clients.

As our most senior Analyst, Kyle's passion for renewables and fresh ideas have been leading the SOLTRAK Analytics Team to greater heights. A UCT graduate with a B.Sc in Chemical Engineering, his critical thinking and positive energy have become major assets to the SOLTRAK team. He is constantly working to provide accurate reporting that empowers our clients to take control of and reap the benefits of their solar assets.

As a mechanical engineer with a passion for renewable energy James wants to help maximise the performance of solar system to increase the penetration of renewables on the grid. James completed a MSc in mechanical engineering at UCT where he modeled solar thermal power plants using machine learning and wants to use the best tools possible to boost SOLTRAK's clients' asset performance.
